Do I need to be a programmer to participate?
We want to ensure collaboration between scientists and engineers! Teams will benefit from diverse skillsets including software engineering, marine science, and project management.
What should I bring?
Bring your laptop, charger, and any hardware you plan to use. We'll provide meals, snacks, and a comfortable hacking space.
Is there a registration fee?
The hackathon is free to attend, thanks to our sponsors. We just ask for your commitment to participate for the full duration.
Will there be mentors?
Yes! We'll have mentors from marine science, technology, and conservation fields available throughout the event.
What happens after the hackathon?
Outstanding projects will have opportunities to collaborate with marine conservation organizations, receive mentorship for further development, present at ocean conservation conferences, and potentially implement solutions in real-world settings.
